Druid Padel Kimmage Hosts Successful Irish Padel Tour Weekend

Druid Padel Kimmage was proud to host the latest stop on the Irish Padel Tour last weekend, as players from across the country competed over three days of high-quality action from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th.

The tournament featured 72 teams across four categories — Men’s Open, Ladies Open, Men’s Intermediate and Ladies Intermediate - with a particularly strong female turnout. Women accounted for 42% of all participants, representing one of the biggest ladies entries seen on the Irish Padel Tour to date and reflecting the continued positive growth of the women’s game in Ireland.

The event concluded on Sunday evening following a strong schedule of semi-finals and finals, with the showpiece matches from Court 1 live streamed on YouTube. In the Open categories, Susan McRann and Tanya Murtagh were crowned Ladies Open champions, while Andres Martinez and Matias Gonzalez took the Men’s Open title. In Men’s Intermediate, an especially encouraging result saw junior players Declan De La Cruz (17) and Matthew Davy (15) claim the title, underlining the exciting young talent emerging in Irish padel.

Congratulations to all players who took part, and to the winners and runners-up across the weekend. It was a pleasure for Druid Padel Kimmage to host such a strong tournament and to welcome so many players, supporters and members of the wider padel community through our doors.
