Padel Rules & Etiquette
Padel is fast, social and easy to learn — but like any sport, it has simple rules that keep the game flowing and enjoyable for all.
Rules at a Glance (Beginners)
- Serve underarm, bouncing the ball behind the line
- The ball must land in the opposite service box
- The walls are in play after the bounce
- Points follow tennis scoring
- Play in pairs — doubles only
Etiquette (All Players)
- Be welcoming to new players
- Rotate courts promptly between bookings
- Respect other players’ space and safety
- Keep coaching during matches light and positive
- Look after club equipment
- Celebrate good shots on both sides
